Type Hike is a collaborative non-profit design project that celebrates and supports the outdoors through typography. It was created by David Rygiol and James Louis Walker. The project was born from the belief that all designers are obligated to use their talent and ability to make the world a more beautiful place. The project began in 2016 with a series of 60 designs celebrating the National Park Service centennial anniversary in August. Oh man, this post is messed up. Following this concept, for this assignment, you will research and design a Poster for one National Park. A poster’s job is to catch the attention of passersby, cut through the all the other visual noise to make a connection and have an impact. The success of a poster depends on the right combination of word and image. Through research and process, your poster will communicate visually the essence of the chosen national park with the use of imagery, colors, patterns, texture, and typography.
